Knock, knock

Wubs newest form of entertainment is telling knock, knock jokes. I always love the punchline to her jokes, especially the way she delivers it. Her voice gets louder and higher, then she bursts into giggles! Most of her jokes consist of bananas, 'tooters' (sorry- that's graphic- wink), and strawberries.

Bella's little piggy tails melt daddy's heart!

The girls climbed on top of daddy and mommy's bed to play!

We were headed to 'Cheeseburger Happy Meal' for dinner on Sunday night. (The girls love McDonalds!)

Daddy was helping Bella climb up the play equiptment.

"Wheee!"

Wubs loves a 'banilla' cone. Bella has never had a cone that big before so she was really excited!

"Cheeeeese!"

Bella's great deal

"I love to shop at the Bathroom Boutique! Excuse me while I try on these leopard print sandals..."

"Oh! These shoes are perfect! I love a good sale!"

Snack Basket

Do you see the 'snack basket' in our refridgerator?
This is Wubs special snack basket, filled with healthy choices. Wubs loves to snack, but we needed a creative way to promote foods that are good for our growing little girl. So far, Emma Grace loves the new independence of choosing her snack all by herself. The basket includes little serving size baggies of broccoli, carrot sticks, apple slices, string cheese, and pickles. Since Bella will eat anything that Wubs eats, both girls are enjoying the benefits of their new and improved snacks!

I was hoping to snap a few pictures of the girls and their sweet snuggles on the couch, but once Bella saw me with the camera, she began exclaiming, "Cheeeeese! Cheeeeese!". ( If you look closely, you'll see Wubs fingers twirling Bella's hair. )

Ring Pops

Last night after church, we needed to make a quick stop at the Dollar Store. While we were there, Wubs spotted an especially exciting candy...ring pops. (The girls have never had ring pops before, so we agreed that this candy was a necessary purchase. wink!) Emma Grace is a big helper, so while I was fishing out my debit card from the diaper bag, she was placing the items we were purchasing up on the counter. Somewhere between swiping the debit card/ stopping Bella from her attempt to pull the sunglasses off the display/ and helping Emma Grace open her ring pop - I realized our total was extremely high for our little dollar store pit stop. Apparently Wubs got somewhat carried away while placing items up on the counter and I didn't see her. Our purchase included several 'extras' so we had to get in line again to make a return and get a refund! Here are some cute pictures of the girls enjoying their treat. Bella's chin was still blue this morning, even though I washed her face several times before bed.

"This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love; not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins."- 1 John 4:9-10

Who??

Last night, Wubs wanted to know if daddy would be coming home soon.
"Tonight Daddy is going to go study at his school. He'll be home when it's dark outside."
"Why does Daddy have to study?"
"Daddy is studying because he wants to learn a lot about the Bible. And one day Daddy will be teaching people about Jesus."
"Why is Daddy going to do that?"
"Well, some people don't know about Jesus."
"Who??"
It was such a sweet, innocent question...Wubs couldn't imagine anyone not knowing about Jesus!

Y we love daddy...

Reason # 432: We love our daddy because he is even willing to dress up as 7 foot tall capital letter( in 90 degree weather) so his little girls can spend 'Community Day' with the Y-Guy.

Even though Wubs watched daddy put on his costume, she was still mystified that the Y-Guy knew her name!

Wubs couldn't get enough hugs from the Y-Guy! (In fact, many children enjoyed hugs and getting their picture taken with the Y-Guy! David was a real celebrity!)

Balloon Wrestlin'

Bella received a smiley face balloon as a gift the day she got her tubes in her ears, and it has brought so many giggles into our home! Today I heard squeals of joy coming from our kitchen and when I asked Wubs what they were doing, she said, "We are wrestlin' the balloon! Just like Daddy wrestles!" David and the girls love to tickle and wrestle. Apparently Wubs was brushing up on her moves so she can 'take down' daddy! wink!

Animal Expo

On Saturday, we went to the state fair grounds for the animal expo. We enjoyed looking at all the animals, attending the crocodile show, and having a picnic lunch!

Wubs was really brave about touching the animals! She even tried to 'tickle' the turtles.

The girls were exhausted after all the fun. (Bella fell asleep while eating her Cheetos, which explains her orange little mouth. wink!)

Jeronimo

This morning was not unlike any other morning at our house. Daddy had just left for work, Wubs was watching PBS kids, and I was in the kitchen. Bella was beginning to wake up and familiar little noises were coming from her room. I finished getting Wubs' breakfast ready, when THUD! (Followed by loud crying.) I ran into Bella's room to find her laying on the floor, flat on her back, screaming-crying. I scooped her up, tears in my own eyes and rocked her, kissed her, all the while feeling for any broken little bones. She calmed down but wanted to lay on my shoulder and seemed very sleepy. I called David and we decided it was best to take her to the doctor- just in case she had hurt her head in any way. Praise God- she is just fine! (Emma Grace slept in her crib until she was nearly 27 months old, and never once did she attempt such a feat. Bella must have used some serious upper body strength to hurl her little body up over the side of her crib! ) We didn't know Bella knew how to say "Jeronimo!!!!" wink!

Below is a picture taken today as Emma Grace and Bella brought a friend to Jumpin' Beans, our favorite inflatable playground. The girls had a lot of fun together!
