God's provision

Poor Bella Wella. What started out as a little tummyache on Easter morning, which was misdiagnosed by mommy as too much candy and excitement, turned out to be a full-blown stomach virus. By Wednesday morning, every towel, blankie, and 2T pajamas, were soiled. And that's when I realized we were fresh out of laundry detergent. As I sat on our couch with Wubs and Bella, I stared at Curious George on the television screen, feeling exhausted. I didn't know what to do- do I let all that laundry sit until David gets home from work, while the stench flowed through our home, or do I attempt taking the girls to the store and risk the possible projectile vomiting in aisle 6? I took a deep breath, and I prayed that God would help me make this decision. I can always take comfort in His sufficiency and I just knew that He would help me figure this out. It was then that our telephone rang. My friend Lorri was calling to say good morning. She immediately asked me if everything was okay- I guess I must have sounded a little tired. I told her about our night and she asked if I needed anything. "Well, to be honest with you, I need some laundry detergent. But I'm just not sure I should take Bella to the store." Lorri insisted on bringing me some detergent, even though the danger of coming to our germ-infested house was great. wink. When Lorri arrived, she came not only bearing laundry detergent, but also Sprite, pedialyte, and popsicles! I just had to laugh at God's precious provision. He had it under control the whole time, and just to remind me how much He loves me and cares about those little details in my life, He even threw in some posicles!
"When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider: God has made the one as well as the other. "- Ecclesiastes 7:14a

I will gladly run you some detergent or anything else over. Praise God for his provision and for Lorri's kind heart in knowing exactly what you needed!
