The Tent Children

Thank you for your prayers for the precious 'tent children'! The Lord has heard each one of them, and He has been providing abundantly for this ministry. God is graciously allowing us to be a small part of His great work in their lives.

This Thursday, July 29, a team will be going out to the camps to spend time with these children. We will be playing games, sharing a snack, reading the Bible story of creation (and also translating it in Spanish), creating a small craft, and eating lunch together. Please pray for our time with these beautiful children, that we are able to show them Christ's love in a very real way. Please also pray that God will be glorified in every effort for these children.

David gave me a book to read called Too Small To Ignore by Wess Stafford. One statistic that really burdened my heart was that if a person hasn't accepted Christ as a child or youth (before 21 years old), the probability he or she will ever know Jesus is only 23%. There was also one quote that has been extremely thought provoking: "Nothing thwarts the efforts of Satan to destroy little lives more than a caring adult's timely intervention to build up their self-worth and assurance of being loved. The path of destruction can end with you. You can decided, as I have, that you will be an instrument of grace in the hands of God." The Lord chooses to use us as His instruments of grace! Wow!

I promise to continue to update our blog with God's work. Thank you for praying and for your obedience to the Lord's call to share your resources and help make this ministry possible!

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws."- Ezekiel 36:26-27
