That's how you know!

Have you ever seen the children's movie Enchanted? It is one of my favorites from the girls' movie collection. There is an adorable character named Giselle. She is a princess that is hopelessly romantic and she is on a journey to be with her one true love. Along the way, she encourages a variety of new friends with her sweet songs. One of the songs she sings is called "How do you know he loves you?". A few of the lyrics include:
Does he leave a little note to tell you you are on his mind?
Send you yellow flowers when the sky is grey? Heyy!
He'll find a new way to show you, a little bit everyday
That's how you know, that's how you know!
He's your love...

Tonight, I was thinking about all the things my wonderful husband does every day, just to show me that he loves me. For example, the other night David invited me to sit on our front porch steps with him after we put the kids to bed. We ate slices of watermelon and we talked and laughed (and laughed)! It was a such treat. And last night, while David was outside watering the strawbales and the girls were on the swingset, he got my attention by spraying up at the kitchen windows with the hose. JJ was sitting in his high chair and we both jumped at the sound of water beating against the window. JJ giggled uncontrollably and when I tried to peek my head out the backdoor to tell David about JJ's laughter, he sprayed me! We played this game over and over, me trying to peek out the back door without getting sprayed, and David pretending not to hear me open the door, only to turn the hose on me! Wubs and Bella were watching from the swings with pure delight as daddy and mommy played with the hose! I thank God every day for my husband! "That's how you know, that's how you know! He's your love..." wink.

"Blessed are they whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the Lord."- Psalm 119:1
