Money lapbook

It's hard to believe we are completing our first grade year! As we are finishing up, I have been trying to be sure we have covered all the  NC first grade standards. One area we didn't study in our homeschool math curriculum was money; a unit about money wasn't included for some reason.I decided to make Emma Grace a lapbook (and I laminated the contents so hopefully we can use it in years to come). It was a big hit! Emma Grace especially enjoyed the game where we pretended to 'buy' pets.  Here are a few pictures of our money lesson:

Oh! And I wanted to share one more 'homeschool' thing with you! My friend Amber sent me this wonderful article about homeschooling. If you have a few extra minutes to read it, I think you will be encouraged!

  1. I LOVE this lapbook! What a great idea! I'd love to hear more about your homeschool curriculum, because I am in the throes of picking ours out right now!
