I am SO excited about my Mother's Day gift from my precious family! Have you ever heard of straw bale gardening? We have wanted to grow our own produce for years but the last time we tried, we didn't have much success. Our friends, Jake and Ruth, have told us about their great harvests for the last few summers from their straw bale garden and... David got everything we need to get started! This Mother's Day gift blesses my heart so much because my wonderful husband knows me so well. My 'love language' isn't gifts... it is quality time. So this gift is p.e.r.f.e.c.t because we'll all get to spend time together as we plant, prune, and pick from our new garden! I am eager to see what the Lord will teach us and provide for our family through this new experience! Here are pictures from the beginnings of our straw bale garden. I'll be sure to post updates throughout the summer to record our gardening adventure. Hooray!
